Impact of Alternative Communications on Role of Travel Buyer is Key Focus
NBTA Europe, the largest European buyer-led business travel and meetings network, has announced the format, speakers and content of its first event since launch on January 6th.
The virtual forum, held across three cities on 30th March by high-end video conference systems is entitled "The Virtuosity of Travel Management" and will focus on the role of travel buyers in the procurement, management and integration of alternative technologies in their company travel and meetings programmes.
The forum is being moderated by Jay Campbell, founder of travel business publication The Beat and chief content officer of ProMedia.travel, and Paul Tilstone, NBTA Europe managing director. Up to thirty travel buyers and sponsors in total will participate from Regus locations in London, New York, and Paris. The event will include an overview of the integration of alternative communications into his portfolio and lessons learnt, by Mark Avery, Head of Business Services at PwC in London.
Speaking about the event, Paul Tilstone said, "When we announced our plans to create such an event in August last year we knew it was going to be something new to the industry. It's great, therefore, that this is NBTA Europe's first official foray into education as it demonstrates our intention to continuously push the boundaries and explore new influences in our industry. This is a powerpoint-free zone where travel buyers can truly engage with and learn from others."
The event is free to members of the network's eight partner associations including NBTA, ITM, the four Nordic associations, NATM in the Netherlands and IBTA in Spain and Portugal, but the network is also inviting other European travel buyers based in participating locations.
Full details of the forum and how to register are located on the Events Calendar.
